Slow Film Festival
Welcome to our annual slow food evening at the Corona Cork Film Festival!
Enjoy the pleasure of ‘Today’s Special’ with a taster of some local produce, and a glass of prosecco! We celebrate the Slow Food movement as a global, grassroots organisation which links the pleasure of good food with a commitment to community and the environment.
This year's movie is:
TODAY’S SPECIAL
Directed by David Kaplan | 99mins
In this feelgood foodie comedy, young Manhattan chef Samir rediscovers his heritage and his passion for life through the enchanting art of cooking Indian food. A visual and aural feast, Today’s Special concerns Samir’s hopes of becoming a fully fledged
chef in his boss’s newly opened restaurant. However, his plans begin to crumble and Samir decides to suddenly flee to Paris in order to work for free with a famous Parisian chef. Starring Bollywood legend Naseeruddin Shah and acclaimed chef Madhur Jaffrey this delightful story is replete with heart and humour throughout.
The Director will introduce the screening.
The Slow Food Evening takes place in the Gate Multiplex, on Tuesday. Nov 9th at 9pm. Please click here for tickets.
Hope to see you all there
